Once the rankings are set, wrestlers can only enter the “Pick 6” Standings by defeating a ranked wrestler. A ranked wrestler that defeats a higher seeded wrestler assumes that spot in the Pick 6. The losing wrestler and those ranked lower drop one spot in the standings.
