New with THPS 4: Skate as long as you want! Instead of timed levels, as in earlier games, you can now skate the night away in any of THPS 4's arenas. When you're ready to take on a challenge, talk to a pedestrian to get an objective, then bust your funky fresh moves! New goals such as Combo strings and mini-games in a tennis court add to the fun. Also new is the "Go Pro" challenge: after finishing the amateur levels, you must perform a special challenge, unique to your pro, in order to open the professional levels. And there's still all the great multiplayer skating you've come to expect from the Tony Hawk titles.
