Jay-Z, Santogold and Diddy are amongst the acts set to feature on the soundtrack album to the new “Notorious BIG” film, it has been confirmed.

The biopic of the late icon is due to hit cinemas at the start of 2009 and will see Brooklyn rapper Jamal Woolard in the lead role.
“Notorious” follows the story through the eyes of the slain star’s mother Voletta and has been executive produced by Diddy.
Speaking about its imminent release, the rap mogul explained: “I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team which brings the story of my friend, BIG, to the big screen.
“The movie is a mother’s story and his mom was instrumental in getting this film made. ‘Notorious’ is a tour de force.”
The soundtrack is due for release on January 26, while “Notorious” follows on February 13.
