but the question is, would ROCK BAND 2 AND THE BEATLES DISC WORK WITH THE ROCK BAND 1 GUITAR, DRUMS AND MIC?
Yes it all works. Pretty sure the Guitar Hero stuff works as well. (Which are far higher quality than the crappy Rockband guitars.)

Video Game Review - DJ Hero
Ah, the Hero games. I really liked some of the Guitar Hero games and I’m looking forward to Lego Rock Band (not part of the same series, but at least the same idea). Mind you, I pretty much suck at these games, but still I find them to be enjoyable.
